NFL Games of the Week Picks and Predictions

Jets vs. Patriots

Cowboys vs. Vikings

Chiefs vs. Chargers

Jets vs. Patriots

Brian: The Patriots still have a chance to make the playoffs. This game will come down to whether Zach Wilson can handle the pressure when the Patriots bring it. The Patriots win a close game at home.

Patriots 28, Jets 24

Derrick: The Patriots won their first matchup with New York 22-17. I know all about Belichick’s record coming off a bye week, but times are different now. The difference is that he does not have TB12 under center as his most important piece. I expect the Jets’ to avenge their Week 9 loss against the Patriots on Sunday. The Patriots are void of talent in a few key areas, and the Jets are playing the better team right now.

Jets 28, Patriots 21

Cowboys vs. Vikings

Brian: The Cowboys should have beaten the Packers last week. They struggled to put the hammer down on them. They have a chance to beat the Vikings, but their run defense must be better. Dak has probably heard a lot of noise about his play lately. This is a big game for him. The Vikings are the better team, so they find a way to win a close game at home.

Vikings 28, Cowboys 24

Derrick: The Minnesota Vikings have not lost a game since Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles. With the Green Bay Packers falling in the standings, the Vikings are primed to win their NFC North and secure a top playoff spot. As for the Cowboys, they lost ground in capturing the NFC East after losing in overtime to Green Bay 31-28. Can they bounce back against a red-hot Vikings team? The Cowboys will put up a fight this Sunday against Minnesota, but another loss is on the horizon. The Vikings win by a four.

Vikings 35, Cowboys 31

Chiefs vs. Chargers

Brian: This is a must-win for the Chargers. The Chiefs will probably win the division, so to get a wild card spot, they need to win a game like this. In the end, the Chiefs pull away in the 4th.

Chiefs 35, Chargers 24

Derrick: Winning the AFC West looks to be out of the picture for the Los Angeles Chargers. Qualifying for a wild card spot is their only path to a postseason berth. The last time the Chiefs and Chargers played in Los Angeles, the game concluded in overtime. Tight end Travis Kelce recorded a career-high 191 receiving yards and caught a 34-yard game-winning touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes. I don’t expect an overtime finish in this Sunday’s game, but the Chargers will put up another solid effort. However, the Mahomes and Chiefs will leave SoFi Stadium with another victory.

Chiefs 38, Chargers 31
