John Collins agrees to five-year deal to stay in Atlanta

Published on

One of the key contributors to the Atlanta Hawks success last season will be staying with the team a little longer. On Wednesday morning it was that Hawks forward John Collins had agreed to a five-year $125 million dollar contract with the organization. The transaction was first reported by ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Woj also reported that the deal includes a player option for Collins. The Hawks went to levels that they have not witnessed in a very long time due to the production from players such as Collins and Trae Young. The organization seams to have the right nucleus in place to become contenders in the Eastern Conference. The Wake Forest standout had one of his best seasons as an NBA player when he averaged 17.6 ppg along 7.4 rpg.
