The Anthony Joshua versus Oleksandr Uysk fight has gained significant traction over the past few months. The bout was officially announced in July and had built up momentum among the boxing international fan base ever since. The fight location venue Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London is currently sold out for the event.

The latest achievement for the anticipated matchup between Joshua and Uysk was that DAZN has secured the rights to show the event in over 170 countries and territories worldwide. The press release from Matchroom Boxing has the details.

“DAZN, the leading global sports streaming platform, has secured exclusive rights to the highly-anticipated Heavyweight showdown on Saturday, September 25 between reigning champion Anthony Joshua and former Cruiserweight World Champion Oleksandr Usyk in more than 170 countries and territories worldwide – including all of North America, South America, and Oceania as well as much of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Unified Heavyweight Champion of the World Joshua will put his IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO World Titles on the line against pound-for-pound star Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

“We’re thrilled to continue our strong relationship with Matchroom, Anthony Joshua, and his team at 258MGT as the global home of boxing,” said Ed Breeze, EVP of Rights, DAZN. “This fight will be an all-out Heavyweight battle between two of the best in the division, live from a remarkable stadium in front of a full house of avid fans. The countdown is on, and we cannot wait to bring this epic clash to our subscribers around the world.”

Joshua (24-1, 22 KOs) most recent opponent was his mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev which he won with a ninth-round knockout. Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs) defeated Derek Chisora by a unanimous decision last November. Joshua currently is the holder of the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO World Heavyweight Titles. The announcement of who will be a part of the fight’s undercard is still in the works.
