Patriots sign Ravens linebacker Matthew Judon

Published on

The New England Patriots appears to be on the resurgence with their recent transactions during the league’s free agency period. Last Friday, the team re-signed quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year deal worth $14 million. On Monday, they went out and sign former Titans tight end Jonnu Smith to a four-year deal worth over $50 million with $36 million guaranteed.

Hours later, they signed Ravens linebacker Matt Judon to a four-year $56 million contract. The transaction was first reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

New England’s recent moves during free agency shows that the club is aggressive about how they approach the offseason in 2021. The Patriots missed the postseason for the first time since 2008, when the finished the season 11-5. New England has appeared in an NFL record 11 Super Bowl appearances and have captured six championships during those trips.
