Memphis Tigers Football and Basketball News
The Memphis Tigers represent the University of Memphis in both college football and basketball, with home games for each taking place at Liberty Bowl Stadium and FedExForum respectively. Since 1912, Memphis Tigers Football has won over 450 games and made appearances in 13 bowl games. The football program has also claimed eight conference championships as recently as 2019.
Former Tigers basketball player Penny Hardaway became the team’s head coach in 2018, bringing his talents back home to Memphis and recruiting some of the highest rated players in the country. While their turnaround has been gradual, Tigers fans in Memphis and abroad no doubt have their eyes on a strong future for the team.
