The Memphis Tigers were able to get into the win column after a 37-13 victory over conference foe the Navy Midshipmen. The performance was far better than what everyone witnessed in the blowout loss to Mississippi State a week prior. The Tigers now head back to the city of Memphis to start a four-game home stand.
Their first opponent at home will be cross-state rival the Arkansas State Red Wolves. The game is a rematch from last year’s 55-51 victory in Jonesboro. The series now moves to Simmons Bank Liberty Bowl Stadium. The two programs have faced each other 58 times, with Memphis leading the series 30-23-5.
The Tigers currently have a three-game winning over the Red Wolves dating back to 2013. The video below previews Saturday’s game, featuring the latest matchup between Arkansas State and Memphis. I address topics such as the keys to victory and players that Memphis must account for in Saturday’s big game.
