Mark Ingram signs one-year deal with the Houston Texans

mark ingram signs with texans

Former Saints and Ravens running back Mark Ingram has a new home. The 2009 Heisman Trophy winner is headed to the Houston Texans. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the deal is for one year and is worth up to $3 million dollars.

Ingram will be joining David Johnson as a one-two punch in the Texans backfield. The Texans are currently going through a organizational rebuild. But their quarterback Deshaun Watson wants no part of it.

The team is not fielding any trade offers for the former Clemson University star quarterback. Ingram finished the 2020 campaign with only 72 carries for 299 yards and two touchdowns over the entire year. Those numbers were completely down from his previous season in which he ran for over 1,000 yards.
