Unless anything has changed between now and the time of this story, QB Aaron Rodgers becoming a member of the New York Jets is imminent. The latest report is that the Green Bay Packers have permitted Rodgers to speak with the Jets on a potential to occur. The meeting took place in Camarillo, California, not far from Rodgers’ home, where he met with members of the Jets organization, such as Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. If you recall, Hackett was Rodger’s offensive coordinator in Green Bay before becoming the Denver Broncos head coach last season.
The move to hire Hackett was based on the idea that it may attract Rodgers to become a member of the New York Jets. Based on everything reported, hiring Hackett looks to have paid off. The topic has circulated in every sports media debate currently available for consumption. When the subject is brought up on FS1’s Undisputed, Skip Bayless had an interesting take on the situation.
