Slade Nagle hired to become LSU’s tight end coach

LSU head coach Brian Kelly continues to build his coaching staff on both the offensive and defensive sides of the football. On Wednesday, it was reported that Kelly will hire former Tulane Green Wave offensive coordinator Slade Nagle to become the team’s tight-end coach. Nagle had spent eight seasons under the watch of Willie Fritz during his tenure with the Green Wave. Nagle was Tulane’s offensive coordinator and decided to remain with the program when Willie Fritz was hire to become the head coach of the Houston Cougars.

However, this is not Nagle’s first stop with the Bayou Bengals. He worked with the program in 2009 as an administrative assistant with the special teams unit. Recently, Kelly promoted quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan and receivers Cortez Hankton to co-offensive coordinators. The move was made in attempt to replace Mike Denbrock, who decided to return back to Notre Dame and become their offensive coordinator.
