The NFL top 15 team power rankings for Week 10 are out. The Minnesota Vikings moved past the Kansas City Chiefs as the second-ranked team on our current power rankings poll. The Buffalo Bills drop to fifth after falling short to the New York Jets.
1. Eagles: (8-0)
Can an undefeated season be in the works for the Philadelphia Eagles? They defeated the Houston Texans on Thursday night football 29-17. Philadelphia is now 8-0 on the season as their lead in the NFC playoff picture increases. Their next five opponents are the Commanders, Colts, Packers, Titans, and Giants. I don’t have a loss on the horizon.
2. Vikings (7-1) Previous Ranking 4th
The Green Bay Packers continue to falter as the Vikings ascend to the top of the NFC North. Minnesota had an impressive Week 9 victory over the Washington Commanders on the road. Quarterback Kirk Cousins led the Vikings on three fourth-quarter scoring drives to seal off an emotional victory in the nation’s Capitol.
3. Chiefs (6-2)
No lead is safe against the Kansas City Chiefs. It doesn’t matter how good an opposing defense is at the moment. The Tennessee Titans learned that firsthand on Sunday night.
4. Cowboys (6-2)
The Dallas Cowboys were on a bye in Week 9 and will return to action this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. The game against Green Bay could be the last stand for star QB Aaron Rodgers.
5. Bills (6-2) Previous Ranking 2nd
By far, the biggest upset of Week 9 took place in the Meadowlands when the New York Jets hosted the Buffalo Bills. QB Josh Allen had one of his worst games of the season when he was sacked five times and threw two interceptions. The loss to New York was one thing, but Allen’s injury could be massive down the stretch. Reports have stated that he is evaluated for a right elbow injury to the ulnar collateral ligament and related nerves, a source told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
6. Seahawks (6-3) Previous Ranking 7th
The impressive season for the Seattle Seahawks continues with Geno Smith at the helm. He completed 26 of 34 passes for 275 yards and two TDs. Seattle improves to 6-3 on the season after sweeping the series with division opponent, the Arizona Cardinals. Next will be their biggest challenge of the season when they travel to Munich, Germany, to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
7. Dolphins (6-3) Previous Ranking 11th
Do you see what happens when an organization is patient with developing a young quarterback like Tua Tagovailoa? The former Alabama standout is proving his case as to why he should be the Dolphins’ long-term option at quarterback. Miami won another shootout with Tagovaliloa under center. This time it was against the Chicago Bears. He threw for 302 yards and three touchdown passes.
8 Giants (6-2) Previous Ranking 9th
The New York Giants were on a bye. They return to action this Sunday against the Detroit Lions. New York might be in for a long day, depending on which Lions team will show up.
9 Jets (6-3) Previous Ranking 12th
The New York Jets were able to bounce back from a 22-17 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 9. It was one of the Jets’ best performances of the season when they rattled Bills QB Josh Allen in Sunday’s game. The Jets’ defense sacked the All-Pro QB five times and forced two turnovers which played a significant part in the team’s 20-17 win.
10. Ravens (6-3) Previous Ranking 8th
In a critical Monday night game against the New Orleans Saints, the Baltimore Ravens did whatever they wanted to do. Baltimore’s running game rushed for 188 yards against a Saints rush defense that has regressed.
11. 49ers (4-4) Previous Ranking 10th
The New York Giants were on a bye. They return to action this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. As I stated before, buckle up if you are a 49ers fan or a fan of the game because Christian McCaffrey will do wonders for this offense.
12. Chargers (5-3)
The Los Angeles is one of the newest editions of the top 15 team power rankings. They went on the road and had an impressive outing against the Atlanta Falcons. Cameron Dicker kicked a 37-yard game-winning field goal three days after being signed as a free agent. With the whispers of Sean Payton possibly becoming the Chargers’ new HC, Brandon Staley will have to go above and beyond with the team under his watch.
13. Titans (6-3) Previous Ranking 6th
Whenever a team can hold an offense like the Kansas City Chiefs in check for a significant portion of the game, they must put them away. The Titans could not accomplish that in last Sunday’s game against Kansas City. The Titans had the most significant dropoff in our current edition of the top 15 team power rankings. They fell from being ranked 6th the previous week to 11th.
14. Bengals (5-4) Previous Ranking 15th
The Bengals recovered from last Monday’s 32-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns in a colossal way. They took out their frustrations on the Carolina Panthers. Running back Joe Mixon carried the ball 22 times, 153 rushing yards, and scored five touchdowns in Sunday’s 42-21 beatdown of the Panthers. The race for the AFC North is becoming a two-team race between the Bengals and the Ravens.
15. Patriots (5-4)
The New England Patriots joined the Los Angeles Chargers as the newest editions of the top 15 team power rankings for Week 10. After falling short to a trending Chicago Bears team on Monday Night Football, the Patriots have won two-straight games. The two-straight victories have allowed the Patriots to improve their record to 5-4 on the season. Upcoming games against the Jets, Vikings, and Bills could shape the course of New England’s 2022 season.
